Pay Range: $95,900.00 - $157,700.00
The Sales Specialist for the Western & Cellular Analysis sales team will be responsible for sales of Simple Western and Cellular Analysis instruments and related systems and consumables in the assigned territory. Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales and grow market share.
Field-based role supporting customers throughout the Boston/Cambridge territory (ideal candidate located in region). Eligible for commission plan and long-term incentive (stock grants), per company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets using consultative selling methods
- Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts
- Coordinate with the Commercial Team to provide solutions
- Visit customers in the assigned territory ~75% of the time
- Be familiar with scientific methods, techniques, reagents, and equipment relevant to the product line
- Provide accurate sales forecasts for instruments and reagents (Immunoassay Product Lines)
- Use Salesforce.com to manage leads, customers, and opportunities; track KPIs
- Plan and execute account management
- Ensure customers understand value proposition, features/benefits, competitive advantages, and applications
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (or advanced) in a science-related field (required)
- 5+ years sales experience in Life Science tools; 2+ years selling in related markets (ideal)
- High value capital equipment sales experience
Skills/Abilities:
- Understand customer workflows in pharma/biologics R&D and production
- Knowledge of scientific techniques (e.g., Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Sequencing, High-Value Capital Equipment)
- Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce; Salesforce knowledge a plus
- Value-based selling (prospecting, relationship building, tailored solutions)
- Strong negotiation and closing; customer-centric problem solving
- Ability to map key accounts and execute territory business plans
- Interpersonal, presentation, and time/territory management skills; excellent oral/written communication
