Sales Specialist (Western & Cellular Analysis) – field-based commercial sales role for assigned territory CT and Northwest MA.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets using consultative selling methods.
- Maintain and develop incremental business in existing and new accounts.
- Partner with the Commercial Team for coordinated customer coverage.
- Visit customers 75% of the time.
- Understand scientific methods/techniques, reagents, and equipment relevant to the product line.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts for instruments and reagents in Immunoassay Product Lines.
- Use Salesforce.com to manage leads, customers, and opportunities; use dashboards to track KPIs.
- Plan and execute account management to accomplish goals and follow company vision.
- Ensure customers understand value proposition, features/benefits, competitive advantages, and applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s (or advanced) in a science-related field (required).
- 5+ years sales experience in Life Science tools; 2+ years selling in related markets/spaces (ideal).
- High-value capital equipment sales experience.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Understanding of customer workflows in pharma drugs/biologics R&D and production.
- Broad scientific knowledge (e.g., Western Blot, Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Sequencing, high-value capital equipment).
- Knowledge of MS Office, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
- Value-based sales: prospecting, relationship building, tailored solutions.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills; customer-centric solutions.
- Territory planning, key account mapping, and time/territory management.
- Excellent oral and written communication; self-starter; team-oriented.
