Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties of Material Handler III
- Oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products
- Receive all GMP items on an electronic inventory system; verify count, vendor item, number, and expiration date against item specification and purchase order before printing bar code labels
- Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular audits, and ensure proper stock levels
- Lead and mentor warehouse staff; train and support for high performance and adherence to safety protocols
- Ensure products are stored/handled according to company standards and regulatory requirements
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; promote safety awareness
- Implement and enforce safety procedures; maintain a safe working environment
- Perform physical inventory management to support continuous production of drug products
- Coordinate with other departments for timely and accurate delivery of materials/products
- Assist in writing/developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Support deviations and investigations for non-conforming products
- Manage receipt, release, packaging, and shipment of GMP materials using electronic and paper-based inventory systems
- Disposition of expired materials and maintain applicable documentation
- Monitor temperature conditions of refrigerators/freezers/room-temperature storage of cGMP materials; respond to alarms (on-call) as necessary
- Identify process improvement opportunities in warehouse operations
- Perform cycle audits and physical inventory per schedule
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies and report to Supervisor
- Source and maintain quality documents for release of critical materials; maintain a library of material specs/forms/documents
- Fill material requests and deliver to manufacturing as required
- Maintain flexibility to support operational requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Supply Chain
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associateβs degree preferred
- 2-4 years related experience in a GMP regulated warehouse/materials management
- 2-4+ years of experience with Inventory Management Systems/ERP in a biotech/life sciences environment
- Proven experience in warehouse supervision/lead roles and inventory control (preferably manufacturing/distribution)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics principles
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and relevant software
- Effective leadership and communication skills; ability to motivate/coach a diverse team
- Attention to detail; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adjust to workload; work independently with little/no supervision
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
