Operations
The Position
- Responsible for supporting detailed system-level design, developing and implementing standard operating procedures, and leading the commissioning and qualification of automated material handling and storage equipment (ASRS/AGV).
- Ensures validation of commercial products and oversees physical handling of materials throughout receiving, storage, campus-wide movement, and final product shipment.

Essential Functions
- Provide warehouse operations automated systems knowledge to support site start-up activities and ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, supporting safety goals, and assisting with corrective actions from safety incident investigations.
- Coach, guide, and direct employees; assign daily and weekly work schedules.
- Perform and oversee unloading/loading of materials at docks, receiving processes, interfacing with ASRS, preparing materials for shipment, and executing transactions in the electronic warehouse management system.
- Support cycle counting and ensure accurate inventory control via system transactions and physical verification.
- Follow all GMP and regulatory requirements; participate in quality initiatives and audits; ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
- Identify and implement performance improvement opportunities.
- Support leadership in driving accountability to meet operational goals and performance standards.
- Support training initiatives to ensure consistent execution of warehouse processes.
- Create, follow, and enforce policies and procedures governing warehouse and logistics operations.
- Demonstrate understanding and effective use of the transportation management system for inbound/outbound logistics.
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements.

Physical Requirements
- Move equipment/supplies up to 33 pounds; operate/inspect equipment; strap/unstrap pallets.
- Stationary (sitting/standing) 50% of the time; may require corrected vision to 20/25 and/or color vision; handles hazardous materials.
- Able to work in extremely cold and loud environments (with hearing protection); pass powered industrial truck driving exam; no valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in IT Technology, Engineering Technology, or Supply Chain; minimum 2 years’ experience with ASRS and AGVs or other automated material handling technologies.
- High School Diploma/equivalent; minimum 4 years’ experience in warehouse and/or logistics with hands-on ASRS/AGVs or other automated material handling technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business (preferred).
- Well-developed interpersonal skills; high attention to detail; strong logical reasoning.
- Demonstrated experience drafting technical and operational documents as a subject matter expert.
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence outcomes through collaboration (without direct supervisory responsibilities).
