Responsibilities:
- Identify, establish, and manage relationships with scientific leaders and investigators to address therapeutic needs and ensure access to medical/scientific information on company products/data.
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain presence to ensure SLs have an R&D/Medical Affairs contact.
- Lead proactive non-product discussions on disease states, diagnosis, epidemiology, unmet need, and population health to inform R&D/GMA and Human Health strategy.
- Facilitate scientific information exchange to translate knowledge into actionable insights for R&D/HH.
- Communicate external stakeholder insights/feedback on new data and clinical trends to Medical Affairs HQ.
- Represent R&D at scientific meetings; contribute to debriefs, insight discussions, and post-congress reporting.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with global Virology strategy.
- Support requested data generation via the Investigator Study Program (MISP) as primary liaison to investigators.
- Identify investigators for Phase II-IV programs and support R&D-sponsored trials.
- Provide in-depth scientific support to Health Systems Teams within USMA.
- Maintain disease/therapeutic area expertise through conferences, workshops, and journal review.

Qualifications:
- Required: Advanced degree (MD, PhD, DNP, Doctoral PA-C, DO, or PharmD) in Virology/HIV; 3+ years biotech/pharmaceutical or clinical experience; 3+ years clinical and/or research experience (beyond terminal degree) in Virology/HIV (or related areas) with scientific excellence; excellent interpersonal/communication/networking/presentation skills; ability to travel up to 50% and reside in the coverage region.
- Preferred: HIV scientific excellence; clinical HIV experience plus independent research/publication; 5+ years industry (MSL or similar) in Virology/HIV; prior regional experience and stakeholder relationships; leadership; Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
