Responsibilities:
- Identify, establish, and manage collaborations with community scientific leaders (SLs) and healthcare providers.
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain Medical Affairs contact for SLs.
- Engage in proactive non-product discussions to understand prevention gaps, disparities, and barriers to uptake.
- Facilitate scientific exchange to inform research, development, and strategies.
- Share stakeholder feedback on new data and evolving HIV treatment/prevention landscape with Medical Affairs HQ.
- Represent R&D at scientific meetings to gather insights and contribute to debriefs.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned to global Virology strategy.
- Support data generation activities (including MISP) as requested.
- Identify potential investigators and provide scientific support for R&D sponsored trials.
- Maintain in-depth therapeutic area knowledge through educational efforts.
- Comply with company policies, laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Doctorate or advanced practice degree (PhD, PharmD, NP/PA, etc.) in Virology; 3+ years biotech/pharma/healthcare experience.
- 3+ years clinical and/or research experience in Virology/HIV.
- Strong communication, networking, presentation; travel up to 50%; reside in coverage region.
- Data interpretation/analysis skills; knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research, FDA regs, OIG/HIPAA/ethical requirements.
- Ability to organize and prioritize in a changing environment.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of community/non-medical unmet needs and barriers; prior regional relationships in HIV prevention.
- Leadership; Microsoft Office Suite.
