Responsibilities
- Identify, establish, and manage collaborative relationships with community-based scientific leaders (SLs) and healthcare providers.
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions; maintain reliable Medical Affairs contact for SLs.
- Drive proactive, non-product scientific discussions on real-world HIV prevention gaps, disparities, and uptake barriers.
- Facilitate scientific information exchange to inform R&D research, development, and strategy.
- Communicate external stakeholder insights/feedback on new data and HIV treatment/prevention trends to Medical Affairs HQ.
- Represent R&D at scientific meetings to capture sentiment and contribute to debriefs and reports.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned to global Virology strategy.
- Support data generation/Investigator Study Program (MISP) when requested.
- Identify investigators for phase II–IV programs and support R&D-sponsored trials.
- Maintain in-depth disease/therapeutic area knowledge through educational efforts.
- Comply with company policies, laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications
Required: Doctorate (PhD/PharmD/NP/PA, etc.) in relevant area; 3+ years biotech/pharma/healthcare; 3+ years clinical and/or research experience in Virology/HIV; excellent interpersonal/communication/presentation skills; travel up to 50% and reside in coverage region; deep Virology therapeutic competence; ability to network with scientific leaders/providers; analyze/summarize complex data; knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA and OIG/HIPAA/ethical regulations; ability to organize/prioritize in changing environments.
Preferred: Understanding of community/non-medical implementation barriers; experience in coverage region with HIV prevention stakeholders; leadership; Microsoft Office.
