Responsibilities:
- Work with Medical Affairs to identify, establish, and manage relationships with community-based scientific leaders and healthcare providers.
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain a presence to ensure Medical Affairs contact for SLs.
- Lead proactive non-product discussions on scientific issues to understand prevention gaps, disparities, and barriers to uptake.
- Facilitate scientific information exchange and integrate insights to inform R&D research, development, and strategies.
- Communicate external stakeholder feedback on new data, clinical trends, and the evolving HIV treatment/prevention landscape to Medical Affairs HQ.
- Represent R&D at scientific meetings/congresses; contribute to debriefs, insight discussions, and post-congress reports.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with global Virology strategy.
- Support data generation activities (e.g., Investigator Study Program/MISP) as requested.
- Identify investigators for phase II–IV clinical development and provide scientific support for R&D-sponsored trials.
- Maintain in-depth disease/therapeutic-area knowledge through educational efforts.
- Comply with company policies and applicable laws/regulations/ethical standards.

Qualifications:
- Required: Doctorate (PhD/PharmD/NP/PA, etc.) in Virology; 3+ years biotech/pharma/healthcare experience; 3+ years clinical and/or research experience in Virology/HIV; excellent communication/interpersonal skills; travel up to 50% and reside in the coverage region; deep therapeutic competency; ability to network with scientific leaders/providers; ability to analyze/synthesize complex data; knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and ethical guidelines (e.g., OIG/HIPAA).
- Preferred: Unmet needs/implementation barriers awareness; prior experience in coverage region with HIV community stakeholders (prevention); leadership experience; Microsoft Office Suite.
