Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage relationships with community scientific leaders and healthcare providers; provide a Medical Affairs contact.
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and engage in proactive, non-product discussions on prevention gaps, disparities, and barriers to uptake.
- Facilitate scientific exchange and translate insights to inform R&D strategies.
- Share external stakeholder feedback on new data and clinical trends with Medical Affairs HQ.
- Represent R&D at scientific meetings; contribute to debriefs and post-congress reports.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned to global Virology strategy.
- Support data generation activities when requested (including MISP).
- Identify investigators for phase II–IV programs; provide scientific support for sponsored trials.
- Maintain in-depth therapeutic area knowledge via education; ensure compliance with policies, laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Doctorate (PhD, PharmD, NP/PA, etc.) relevant to Virology.
- 3+ years biotech/pharma or healthcare experience.
- 3+ years clinical/research experience in Virology/HIV (or related area).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills.
- Travel up to ~50% (overnights) and reside in coverage region.
- Ability to analyze/summarize complex data and interpret results objectively.
- Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and OIG/HIPAA and other ethical requirements.
- Ability to organize/prioritize and work in a changing environment.

Preferred:
- Experience with unmet needs/implementation barriers in community-based/non-medical spaces.
- Prior coverage-region experience and relationships with HIV stakeholders (prevention focus).
- Leadership experience; Microsoft Office Suite.
