Responsibilities:
- Identify, establish, and manage relationships with community-based scientific leaders (SLs) and healthcare providers within Medical Affairs.
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain a reliable presence for Medical Affairs contact.
- Engage in proactive non-product discussions to understand prevention gaps, disparities, and uptake barriers across care settings.
- Facilitate scientific information exchange to inform R&D research, development, and strategies.
- Communicate external stakeholder insights and feedback on new data, clinical trends, and evolving HIV prevention/treatment landscape to Medical Affairs HQ.
- Represent R&D at scientific meetings to gather sentiment, contribute to debriefs, and provide post-congress reports.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with global Virology strategy.
- Support requested data generation activities (including MISP).
- Identify potential investigators and provide scientific support for phase II–IV trials and R&D-sponsored programs.
- Maintain in-depth therapeutic/disease knowledge through educational efforts.
- Comply with company policies, applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
Required
- Doctorate/advanced practice professional (PhD, PharmD, NP/PA, etc.) relevant to Virology.
- 3+ years biotech/pharma or healthcare experience.
- 3+ years clinical and/or research experience in Virology/HIV or related area.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and reside in the coverage region.
- Deep therapeutic competency; strong ability to network and partner.
- Ability to analyze, synthesize, and interpret complex data.
- Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and relevant ethical/compliance requirements (e.g., OIG, HIPAA).
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and work in a changing environment.

Preferred
- Knowledge of unmet needs/implementation barriers for priority populations in community and non-medical spaces.
- Prior coverage-region experience and relationships with HIV community stakeholders (especially prevention).
- Demonstrable leadership skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Remote; candidate must reside within the coverage region.
