Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage relationships with community scientific leaders (SLs) and healthcare providers; serve as Medical Affairs contact.
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions; engage in non-product discussions about scientific issues to understand HIV prevention gaps, disparities, and uptake barriers.
- Facilitate scientific exchange and translate insights into actionable recommendations for R&D strategy.
- Share external stakeholder feedback on new data and clinical trends with Medical Affairs HQ.
- Represent R&D at scientific meetings/congresses; contribute to debriefs and post-congress reports.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with global virology strategy.
- Support data generation (e.g., Investigator Study Program/MISP) and identify investigators for phase II–IV programs; provide trial scientific support.
- Maintain in-depth disease/therapeutic area knowledge; comply with policies, laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:
Required:
- PhD/PharmD/NP/PA or doctorate degree relevant to Virology.
- 3+ years biotech/pharma or healthcare experience; 3+ years clinical and/or research experience in Virology/HIV (or related area).
- Strong communication, networking, presentation skills.
- Travel up to 50% and reside in coverage region (AR, LA, MS, NM, OK, TX).
- Therapeutic area expertise; ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
- Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA/OIG/HIPAA and related regulations.
- Ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
Preferred:
- Experience with community-based/unmedical-space unmet needs and implementation barriers.
- Coverage-region experience and established HIV stakeholder relationships (especially prevention).
- Leadership skills; Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel).
