Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage collaborative relationships with community scientific leaders and healthcare providers.
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and serve as a Medical Affairs contact.
- Lead proactive non-product scientific discussions to understand real-world HIV prevention gaps, disparities, and barriers to uptake.
- Facilitate scientific exchange and translate insights to inform R&D research, development, and strategy.
- Share external feedback on new data and clinical trends with Medical Affairs HQ.
- Represent R&D at scientific meetings; contribute to debriefs and post-congress reports.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with global Virology strategy.
- Support requested data generation activities (e.g., Investigator Study Program/MISP).
- Identify potential investigators for Phase II–IV programs and support R&D-sponsored trials.
- Maintain in-depth therapeutic-area knowledge via educational efforts.

Qualifications:
Required:
- PhD, PharmD, NP/PA, or doctorate degree relevant to Virology.
- 3+ years biotech/pharma/healthcare experience.
- 3+ years clinical and/or research experience in Virology/HIV (or related area).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, networking, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and reside in the coverage region.
- Strong data interpretation/analysis skills.
- Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and ethical/regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
- Ability to organize/prioritize in a changing environment.

Preferred:
- Experience/knowledge of unmet needs and implementation barriers in community-based/non-medical spaces.
- Prior coverage-region experience and HIV prevention stakeholder relationships.
- Leadership experience.
- Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.
