Responsibilities
- Identify, establish, and manage collaborative relationships with community-based scientific leaders and healthcare providers.
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain Medical Affairs presence for stakeholder coverage.
- Lead proactive non-product discussions on scientific issues to understand real-world HIV prevention gaps, disparities, and uptake barriers.
- Facilitate scientific information exchange to inform R&D research, development, and strategies.
- Share external stakeholder insights/feedback on new data and clinical trends with Medical Affairs HQ.
- Represent R&D at scientific meetings/congresses; contribute to debriefs and post-congress reporting.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned to global Virology strategy.
- Support data generation activities (e.g., Investigator Study Program) and assist with R&D-sponsored trials.
- Identify potential investigators for phase II–IV programs and provide scientific support.
- Maintain in-depth therapeutic area knowledge through educational efforts.
- Comply with company policies, applicable laws/regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications
Required
- Doctorate (PhD, PharmD, NP/PA, etc.) in Virology and role requirements.
- 3+ years biotech/pharma/healthcare experience.
- 3+ years clinical and/or research experience in Virology/HIV or related area.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, networking, presentation skills.
- Up to 50% overnight travel; reside in coverage region.
- Deep Virology competency; ability to network with external scientific leaders/providers.
- Ability to analyze/interpret complex data; summarize/synthesize results.
- Knowledge of treatment guidelines, clinical research processes, FDA regulations, and relevant ethics/privacy requirements.
- Ability to organize/prioritize and work in a changing environment.

Preferred
- Experience with unmet needs/implementation barriers in community and non-medical spaces.
- Prior relationships/experience in the coverage region (HIV prevention preferred).
- Leadership experience; Microsoft Office Suite.
