Director of Performance (IC) and Engagement

Location: US Headquarters in Durham, NC (RTP Area); eligible for domestic relocation package.

Performance Responsibilities
- Own and lead Incentive Compensation (IC) process with 2 direct reports and an external vendor.
- Design and recommend IC plans for the HIV unit (annual programs, contests, awards) that are motivational, compliant, equitable, and aligned with brand/field objectives.
- Develop/deliver IC calendars and SOPs/KPIs/BSFs to drive accurate, on-time execution of IC goals, scorecards, and payout deliverables.
- Lead training for business units and field sales on IC plans, data sources, business rules, and scorecards.
- Partner with field operations on territory alignments, designs, workload calculations, targeting, and call planning.
- Partner with Data Management/IT to ensure timely data loading, targeting refreshes, and supplier data integration.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to execute sales planning, IC delivery, and performance improvement projects.
- Ensure compliant IC governance, risk mitigation, fairness, transparency, and IC governance approvals.
- Automate data/reporting; communicate progress and capture feedback.
- Lead vendor relationship and define service-level targets.
- Design, build, and maintain incentive programs; define special incentives.

Engagement Responsibilities
- Build relationships, trust, and empathy with the sales force; be present in the field.
- Create orderly SF engagement/communication processes; embed ViiV culture.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of pharma experience.
- Experience managing incentive compensation.
- Experience with US sales data/sources.
- Leadership experience in matrix organizations.
- Experience communicating messages to different audiences.

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or similar; 2+ years pharma sales; injectables and/or HIV experience.
- First-line sales leader experience; proactive/independent; marketing.
- Experience managing teams; consulting background.
- Customer engagement/service/training experience; Data Sciences education.
