Position Purpose:
- Develop and execute a global Medical Affairs strategy to identify, develop, and foster relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), scientific experts, and medical/scientific societies across relevant therapeutic areas.
Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a global KOL engagement strategy (identify, segment, profile, engage), aligned to global/regional needs.
- Partner cross-functionally (Regional Medical Directors, Clinical Development, R&D, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal) to ensure consistent external engagement.
- Identify and engage external scientific advisors, speakers, and investigators for educational initiatives; maintain compliant, mutually beneficial KOL relationships.
- Gather/synthesize external insights to inform internal medical, clinical development, research, and commercial strategies.
- Develop and execute global engagement plans for medical/scientific societies; represent the company at major congresses and meetings.
- Ensure engagement compliance; document interactions and maintain compliance records.
- Lead a Global KOL Working Group; plan meetings, Visiting Professor Programs, Clinical Learning experiences, and preceptorship programs.
- Lead payer/value engagement by building a team of Regional Medical Value Directors to engage payers, PBMs, IDNs, and other decision-makers (in alignment with Market Access).
Qualifications (Required):
- Advanced clinical or scientific degree.
- 12+ years progressive clinical and/or Medical Affairs experience, including people leadership.
- 10+ years global/regional KOL engagement, thought leader development, and medical society relations.
- Proven, compliant relationship-building with external experts.
- Experience planning/executing medical affairs at major international congresses.

- Professional, ethical conduct; travel 30β40% as required.
