The E&PS Vice President IM PM – Mega Projects is responsible and directly accountable for global governance and management of the Mega Projects for Bio-Therapeutics, Synthetics and ATMP facility capital project portfolio (~$1.3BB annual spend). Leads direction, training, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of mega capital projects (local and/or global) in alignment with business strategy, commitments, and goals. Defines and secures internal/external resources and coordinates teams and third-party contractors/consultants to deliver projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership on front end loading: align on project definitions, scope, priorities; ensure resources, capabilities, and processes are in place; present to senior stakeholders; assemble/coordinate teams and manage resource allocation.
- Lead architecture/design direction for major capital programs; ensure adoption of standard design platforms and compliance with latest regulatory standards.
- Lead/support teams to keep programs on plan by resolving resource conflicts and removing obstacles (including senior-level negotiation).
- Track deliverables and manage changes with Global Project Controls; monitor/report progress, risks, mitigations; implement interventions to achieve outputs.
- Manage overall portfolio budget; conduct project evaluations; ensure risk management analysis and plans are in place.
- Through PM Center of Excellence, ensure engineering performance metrics and continuous improvement via best practices (design, construction, safety, C&Q); collaborate cross-functionally with internal/external partners.
- Ensure adoption of contracting strategies for project delivery (vendor qualification, global agreements, performance surveillance).
- Ensure efficient core group work practices and continuous improvement using lessons learned.
- Develop yearly business plans and personal objectives; advise on short- and long-term tactical engineering plans.
- Meet training requirements and mobility demands; up to 25–50% travel (increased during peak periods).
- Establish plans for talent development, diversification, and professional development.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required (preference: Engineering, Architecture and Design, or Construction Management).
- Experience: 15+ years relevant business and Project Management experience (Design, Construction Management, Commissioning & Qualification); experience managing mega capital projects (>$500MM); prior supervisor experience with direct reports. Design and Construction Management experience highly recommended.
- LEED AP preferred; PMP or comparable certification and familiarity with J&J Project Management approaches (FPX & IDEA Process) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cGMPs and Regulatory Requirements preferred; Professional Engineering License preferred; Americas and EMEA experience desired.
