Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and ownership of Front-End Loading (FEL) for major capital initiatives; define/align scope, priorities, outcomes, and ensure resources/processes are in place.
- Executive sponsor major projects; present business cases/progress to senior stakeholders and secure decisions/resolution.
- Direct architecture/design governance; mandate standard design platforms and ensure regulatory/industry compliance.
- Establish cross-functional project teams; manage resource allocation and prioritization across the portfolio.
- Remove executive-level obstacles; resolve resource conflicts to protect schedule, scope, and budget.
- Oversee project controls/performance monitoring; define reporting, track risks, approve mitigation.
- Own portfolio/project financial performance (budgets/forecasts/post-project evaluations) and ensure value realization.
- Ensure enterprise risk management, contracting/procurement strategy, and continuous process improvement.
- Lead PM Center of Excellence (metrics, best practices, safety, commissioning/qualification) and talent plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree (preference: Engineering/Architecture/Design or Construction Management).
- 15+ years project management, including design, construction management, commissioning & qualification.
- Prior major capital portfolio experience ($100Mβ$500M) and direct report leadership.
Required Competencies/Skills:
- Strong global track record in supply chain/R&D/commercial facility projects; risk control.
- Strong communicator/influencer and negotiator; ability to explain complex technical requirements.
- Matrix collaboration; strong written/oral English; advanced project management (schedules, budgets, dashboards, reporting).
Preferred Skills:
- LEED AP; PMP/comparable; cGMP/regulatory knowledge; professional engineering license; experience across Americas/EMEA/APAC; operations/R&D/supply chain.
