Vice President, Head of Oncology Sales

Key Responsibilities:
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, agile Oncology Sales organization.
- Guide the national sales team through evolving market dynamics and business priorities while maintaining strong customer focus and associate engagement.
- Develop and execute portfolio and product strategies, including launch planning and commercialization.
- Foster an inclusive, patient-centered culture through coaching, talent development, succession planning, and clear performance expectations.
- Partner cross-functionally (Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Integrated Product Teams) to align priorities and accelerate outcomes.
- Use market insights, customer feedback, analytics, and performance data to optimize results.
- Lead resource planning and investment decisions (field deployment, budgets, organizational capabilities) aligned to portfolio strategy.
- Drive national sales performance and operational excellence, adjusting strategy/investments as needed.
- Strengthen customer engagement via innovative go-to-market approaches and field effectiveness.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 12+ yearsβ experience in commercial pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare (or similar), with large geographically dispersed sales teams; proven second-line sales leadership and team building.
- Specialty therapeutic leadership experience and a record of successful product launches.
- Track record leading cross-functional initiatives; experience with complex sales involving physicians/managed markets and/or restricted-access accounts.
- Ability to deliver measurable results with analytical thinking, decision-making, and financial acumen (including large budgets).
- Understanding of US market access (payer landscape, buy-and-bill, specialty pharmacy, healthcare delivery models).
- Demonstrated leadership in complex, evolving environments with resilience and strong cross-functional alignment.
Desirable Requirements:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent); Oncology/Hematology/Rare Disease specialty sales leadership and successful launches.
- Experience in complex matrixed organizations using digital, analytics, and AI to drive outcomes.
