Role Summary
Vice President, Global Program Leader (GPL) - Oncology, Solid Tumors
Lead overarching global programs from discovery to launch, driving asset strategy, development, and life-cycle management across multiple projects and modalities, with accountability for global program success and patient access.
Responsibilities
- Define asset strategy and lead all development and LCM activities for assigned assets from discovery to market.
- Lead cross-functional Global Program Teams to deliver project scope, objectives, budget, and timelines with a focus on value maximization.
- Provide matrix management and strategic/tactical leadership to GPT members and sub-team leaders; ensure alignment across Clinical, Commercial, CMC, and other sub-teams.
- Manage program budgets in collaboration with the Global Program Manager; monitor expenditures and variances to meet financial objectives.
- Report program progress, issues, decisions, changes in scope or budget, and risks to executive governance committees.
- Lead opportunities assessment, feasibility studies, and potential in-licensing considerations for global programs.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote organizational reputation and collaboration within the GPL community.
Qualifications
- Required: Advanced scientific degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) or MBA; minimum 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry with R&D and commercial operations experience; minimum 10 years of interdisciplinary global experience with complex projects and matrix team management.
- Preferred: Advanced degree in science or business; broad enterprise orientation; experience managing multiple NME global approvals; passion for developing future leaders.
Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel to meetings or client sites, including overnight trips; some international travel may be required; approximately 20-25% travel.
