How You Will Make an Impact
The Vice President, Business Development drives business development efforts for the ENHANZE licensing franchise and small and large volume auto-injectors, leading identification, evaluation, negotiation, and execution of new ENHANZE, ENHANZE plus HVAI and SVAI business, and supporting strategic growth projects (reports to the Chief Business Officer).

Responsibilities
- Develop ENHANZE/HVAI/SVAI business development strategies; lead or support CBO and leadership on execution
- Identify new ENHANZE collaborations via opportunity analysis, meetings, and review of publications/data
- Apply strong technical knowledge of ENHANZE and device platforms
- Engage key stakeholders; win opportunities with compelling value propositions supported by technical/commercial analyses
- Negotiate CDA and MTA to progress deal flow
- Lead/advance deal negotiations; develop draft Collaboration and Licensing Agreements; gain internal alignment; track/resolve negotiation issues
- Maintain partnering materials; present to prospective partners and respond to questions
- Perform financial and market modeling (Excel) and create strategy/business development slides
- Track/document/status report business development activities
- Lead/support other strategic partnering projects as directed; interface with Commercial, Legal, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Alliance Management, Finance; interface with partners/deal sources/consultants/vendors

To Succeed In This Role
- Minimum Bachelorโ€™s in business/quantitative/life sciences; 18 years relevant experience (or equivalent)
- Minimum 12 years in pharma/biotech or healthcare-focused consulting
- Prior business development experience: market assessments, financial modeling, business case development, contract generation
- Strong negotiation, project management, analytical decision-making, influence skills; strategic/innovative
- Knowledge of pharma/biotech clinical development and regulatory processes
- Medical device development/regulatory knowledge preferred
- Ability to communicate/influence leaders across levels; prioritize multiple projects
- Masterโ€™s/PhD preferred; deep pharma/biotech network
- Deal sheet summarizing accomplishments
- Software: Box, Intralinks data room systems, BioMed Tracker (or equivalent)
