Vaccines Sales Director - Houston, TX

Vaccine Sales Director (VSD) โ field-based district leader reporting to the Vaccine Sales Lead (VSL). Responsible for day-to-day sales execution of strategic priorities and leading Pediatric, Adult, and Hybrid Immunization Specialists (IS) teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead IS teams to achieve/exceed vaccine sales, coverage, and market share goals
- Translate national/area sales strategy into district action plans
- Identify growth opportunities and diagnose performance gaps using market insights and analytics
- Ensure local execution aligns with Vaccines Business Unit (VBU) priorities
- Use digital tools/data to enhance targeting and Good Selling Outcomes (GSOs)
- Recruit, develop, and retain top-performing IS talent
- Provide structured development plans, coaching, and performance feedback
- Drive accountability via goal setting, KPI tracking, and field observation
- Review success metrics and Incentive Compensation plans
- Conduct field visits/meetings to diagnose and coach on business planning, targeting, diagnosis, and account/HCP actions toward GSOs
- Ensure HCP and account staff communication of clinical value/benefits of GSK vaccines
- Support promotional initiatives, local educational events, and product launches
- Monitor vaccine uptake/adoption and compliance with approved processes
- Collaborate with Account Management; partner with Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial to resolve barriers
- Share field insights to inform strategy/resource allocation; uphold compliant customer engagement/documentation
Success Metrics (KPIs):
- District sales, immunization rates, and market share targets
- โฅ90% of IS team meeting/exceeding individual KPIs (including activity metrics)
- HCP engagement measured against GSOs
- Timely, impactful field coaching and performance reviews
- Accurate CRM documentation and disciplined sales-process execution; 100% compliance with policies
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs degree
- 7+ years pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical experience
- 2+ years people management experience
- Experience selling in a health systems environment
- Valid driverโs license
- Willing/able to travel up to 50%
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year vaccines sales management experience
- Knowledge of vaccines market/products/therapeutic areas and business/clinical environment
- Strong record of high performance and consistent results
- Strong oral/written communication plus presentation and influencing skills
