Oncology Specialist (field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance of Nashville/Memphis/Chattanooga/Knoxville/Johnson City and surrounding areas).

Reporting into the District Manager (DM), build and implement territory business plans aligned with brand objectives and business goals, including strategic business planning with specific, measurable objectives and action-oriented strategies. Establish and maintain strong relationships across the oncology care continuum and drive results aligned with brand expectations and AbbVie’s mission.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Meet/exceed assigned sales goal.
- Present approved disease state and product information using persuasive/consultative selling (per AbbVie Promotional Policy).
- Use sales analytics and customer intelligence to create high-impact, strategic plans.
- Execute sales and marketing strategies in the territory using cross-functional partners and approved resources.
- Continuously build knowledge of the evolving marketplace, territory changes, disease state, and product expertise.
- Collaborate effectively with territory partners and external counterparts.
- Develop and execute a call plan to achieve call metrics and optimize coverage/frequency to key customers.
- Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies governing AbbVie activities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 6+ years oncology experience; solid tumor sales experience preferred.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations.
- Exceptional communication skills; consultative selling style.
- Competitive selling skills.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Pass AbbVie background check and additional background screening as required (may include background checks, immunization, TB, HIV, hepatitis, and drug screening).
- Regular business travel (by air or car).
- Drive personal auto/company vehicle (or powered material handling equipment).
- Valid driver’s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements.
