Position Summary:
The Vaccine Account Manager (VAM) owns the B2B customer relationship across large, complex healthcare delivery networks (e.g., health systems, State CDC awardees, major health departments, FQHCs). Serves as primary liaison for largest customers and engages C/D-level clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to deliver customized value, ensure optimal patient access, and coordinate field teams to drive vaccine sales growth.
Responsibilities:
- Build partnerships with HSs, Public Awardees, FQHCs, and key decision-makers (e.g., CMO, Pharmacy Director, ID specialists, P&T committee).
- Identify customer objectives and develop customer-specific/area business plans (stakeholder mapping, budget/formulary timelines, business reviews).
- Navigate organizational structures to influence vaccine access/formulary status, policy/protocol, stocking, and pull-through.
- Manage accounts via business reviews, contract performance discussions, educational programs, and key meetings/conferences.
- Achieve/exceed volume, IZ rates, market share, and annual sales targets; define GSOs/KPIs.
- Support contracting with Contracting Specialists; execute consultative selling.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Contracting Specialists, OPAS/HSDs, Medical Affairs, Marketing) and Market Access on coverage/reimbursement/contracting.
- Provide evidence-based clinical education; stay current with CDC guidance, medical society recommendations, and health quality metrics.
- Maintain CRM records; complete required training/compliance; ensure compliant promotional activities.
Qualifications (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous vaccines sales experience.
- 5+ years total in Pharmaceutical Sales/Marketing, Payer and/or Business Development.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Travel up to 40%.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree.
- Deep healthcare contracting and Health Systems model knowledge.
- Experience calling on C/D-level in IDNs and with lateral leadership in matrixed environments.

Advanced analytics/business acumen; strong communication/presentation/influencing; translate strategy into local account plans; influence other sales leaders to mobilize action.
Location:
Field-based; travel based on candidate’s proximity to customers (territory includes Savannah, GA).
