Position Brand Description
- Service, troubleshoot, and maintain LTC utilities equipment, including instrumentation, electrical systems, high purity water, compressed air, steam, chilled water, glycol, city water, and sewers.
- Ensure utility equipment and buildings are maintained at all utility locations; provide good customer service.
- Assist craftspeople in multiple crafts.
Key Objectives/Deliverables
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on high/low voltage electrical equipment (13.8KV main switchgear, circuit breakers, relays, motor starters, ground fault interrupts).
- Perform preventive maintenance on complex electrical equipment (motor control centers, variable-speed drives, programmable logic controllers, etc.).
- Troubleshoot/diagnose electrical equipment problems and make repairs to minimize downtime.
- Perform modifications and new installations of electrical equipment (conduit, conductors, lighting, branch circuits, etc.).
- Diagnose complex electrical problems to restore equipment/systems to operating condition.
- Perform preventative/corrective maintenance and calibration on process instrumentation (temperature, pressure, flow, pH, conductivity, TOC, control valves, etc.).
- Troubleshoot/diagnose process instrumentation equipment and make repairs to minimize downtime.
- Perform modifications and new installations of process instrumentation.
- Read P&ID drawings and schematics.
- Comply with safety rules and approved procedures to ensure cGMP compliance.
- Document all work using Good Documentation Practices.
Basic Requirements / Qualifications
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Basic instrumentation/electrical skills; ability to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits and equipment.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no visa sponsorship/support.
- Ability to withstand temperature variations while working outdoors in winter and summer.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Experience with utility systems (HPW, chillers, steam, compressed air, water/sewer, electrical distribution).
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, electrical license, or equivalent instrumentation/electrical experience.
- Experience troubleshooting and installing instrumentation; maintaining circuit breakers, relays, medium voltage switchgear, motor starters.
- Experience with a CMMS/work order tracking system (e.g., GMARS) and documenting using Good Documentation Practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Education Requirements
- High school diploma, associate degree, or equivalent.
Additional Information
- Hazardous operations exist in utility areas (caustic, steam, high pressure, high temperature).
- Work schedule: 8-hour days, MondayβFriday; off-hours support required for 24/7 equipment.
- Work on summer and year-end company breaks; occasional awkward positions/cramped quarters/ladders/scaffolding.
- Completion of a Post Offer exam.
