Medical Affairs
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to the US Medical Affairs Next Gen Immunology team by cultivating teamwork and collaboration to deliver key priorities and attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Manage Medical Directors responsible for field training and MSL operations.
- Provide values-guided management aligned with Aim Higher, Act for Patients, Be Bold, and Lead Together.
- Develop strategy and tactics for an integrated Medical Plan across the neurology pipeline (Medical Science Liaisons, Medical Education, Medical Communications/Publications, Health Outcomes, Safety, Clinical Research: Phase IIIB-IV and Investigator Sponsored Trials).
- Provide cross-portfolio medical strategy and scientific expertise to Clinical, Commercial, Market Access, and Regulatory partners (Global and US).
- Lead medical and scientific advisory boards and translate insights into actionable medical strategy.
- Review and approve promotional and medical materials for compliance with corporate standards and regulations.
- Support US Phase IIIB-IV clinical study programs.
- Review and approve Investigator Sponsored Trial concepts and protocols per applicable SOPs.
- Partner with US Drug Safety on adverse events, post-marketing safety data, and safety signal communications.
- Build relationships with Key Thought Leaders.
About You (Education/Experience/Qualifications):
- Advanced scientific degree required: MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent.
- 7+ years in Medical Affairs including Pre-Launch, Clinical Development, Launch, and Life Cycle Management.
- Cross-portfolio Neurology experience required.
- Strong US medical strategy track record.
- Strong people management and development experience.
- Noted experience using AI tools to drive internal/external impact.
- Ophthalmology experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Executive presence; ability to influence senior levels.
- Clinical development expertise; regulatory knowledge.
- Scientific acumen to apply medical/scientific rationale to business needs.
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strategic thinking and results orientation.
