Associate Director, Immunology (Scientific Data Communications)
Key Objectives / Deliverables
- Develop and lead early/mid/late-stage immunology pipeline communications strategy and positioning; architect narratives before data landmarks and connect each readout to the enterprise science story (agile/portfolio-wide).
- Execute congress strategy (follow early Congress playbooks).
- Lead publications strategy with Medical Affairs and R&D to align with communications objectives and reinforce the corporate narrative.
- Provide executive communications counsel: prepare leaders for media and high-stakes engagements; develop executive visibility strategies/materials.
- Drive proactive and reactive media relations for pipeline achievements.
- Ensure cross-TA and enterprise integration (data release playbook; unified congress presence).
- Lead issues management via messaging frameworks, scenario plans, and rapid-response protocols.
- Collaborate across communications; lead agency partners and external resources.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in communications, science, public relations, or related field.
- 5+ years communications experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; employer visa sponsorship not provided.
Additional Skills / Preferences
- Immunology (or closely related) communications experience.
- Proven clinical data communications, congress strategy, and media relations.
- Experience advising senior executives; strong immunology landscape knowledge.
- Strong narrative translation of complex data for diverse audiences; proactive judgment in high-pressure situations.
Location/Travel
- Indianapolis, IN; domestic/international travel 15–25%.
