Medical Affairs
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to the US Medical Affairs Next Gen Immunology team by cultivating teamwork and collaboration to deliver key priorities and attract, develop, and retain talent.
- Manage a team of Medical Directors responsible for field training and MSL operations.
- Provide values-guided management aligned with Aim Higher, Act for Patients, Be Bold, and Lead Together.
- Develop strategy and tactics for an integrated Medical Plan across the neurology pipeline (Medical Science Liaisons, Medical Education, Medical Communications & Publications, Health Outcomes, Safety, Clinical Research including Phase IIIB-IV and Investigator Sponsored Trials).
- Provide cross-portfolio medical strategy and scientific expertise to Clinical, Commercial, Market Access, and Regulatory partners (Global and US).
- Lead medical and scientific advisory boards to translate insights into actionable medical strategy.
- Review and approve promotional and medical materials in compliance with corporate standards and government/industry regulations.
- Support execution of US Phase IIIB-IV clinical study programs.
- Support review/approval of Investigator Sponsored Trial concepts and protocols per applicable SOPs.
- Partner with US Drug Safety on trial adverse events and post-marketing safety signal communication.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Key Thought Leaders.
Education/Qualifications:
- Required: MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent (scientific discipline).
- Minimum 7 years in Medical Affairs with experience across Pre-Launch, Clinical Development, Launch, and Life Cycle Management.
- Required: Cross-portfolio Neurology experience.
- Strong US medical strategy track record and people management experience.
Preferred:
- Experience in Ophthalmology.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Executive presence; clinical development expertise; scientific acumen; stakeholder management; strategic thinking; results orientation.
