Main Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership to the US Medical Affairs Next Gen Immunology team to deliver key priorities and attract, develop, and retain top talent.
- Manage Medical Directors responsible for field training and MSL operations.
- Provide values-guided management aligned with Aim Higher, Act for Patients, Be Bold, Lead Together.
- Develop strategy and tactics for an integrated Medical Plan across the neurology pipeline (Medical Science Liaisons, Medical Education, Medical Communications/Publications, Health Outcomes, Safety, Clinical Research Phase IIIB-IV, Investigator Sponsored Trials).
- Provide cross-portfolio medical strategy and scientific expertise to Clinical, Commercial, Market Access, and Regulatory partners (Global and US).
- Lead medical and scientific advisory boards; translate insights into actionable medical strategy.
- Review and approve promotional and medical materials for compliance with corporate standards and government/industry regulations.
- Support execution of US Phase IIIB-IV clinical study programs.
- Review/approve Investigator Sponsored Trial concepts and protocols per applicable SOPs.
- Partner with US Drug Safety on trial adverse events, post-marketing safety, and communication of safety signals.
- Build relationships with Key Thought Leaders.
Education:
- Advanced degree in a scientific discipline required (MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent).
Experience:
- 7+ years in Medical Affairs; experience across Pre-Launch, Clinical Development, Launch, and Life Cycle Management.
- Cross-portfolio Neurology experience required.
- Strong US medical strategy execution track record.
- Strong people management and development experience.
- Noted experience using AI tools to drive internal/external impact.
- Ophthalmology experience preferred.
