Role Summary
- US Director Medical Affairs (US centric) focusing on Medical Affairs strategy in Rheumatology and Dermatology.
- Lead US scientific/medical affairs execution aligned to V&I pillars: Scientific Exchange, Company Trials, Investigator-Sponsored Programs, Congresses, Insights.
Primary Responsibilities
- With USMA ED and Health Systems PASL, develop and implement regional strategies aligned with HQ V&I goals; define prioritized USMA field strategy and implementation goals.
- Contribute to integrated US Country Medical Affairs Plan (CMAP), including US Field Medical Plan/Field Engagement Plan and field training plan for assigned TA.
- Identify/prioritize field resources, training needs, and adult learning activities (incl. pre-/post-congress training and content pull-through).
- Build and execute scientific engagement plans; ensure scientific exchange aligns with global scientific communications.
- Action advisory board/field insights with stakeholders; monitor trends to inform future strategy.
- Organize expert input events (advisory boards/forums) with contracted Scientific Leaders and key stakeholders.
- Manage programs (patient support, education, risk management) for safe use of company medicines.
- Orchestrate regional training with GSVC, CSEE, GCTO, GMSA TA leads, and SMEs; partner with FMAD for harmonized training standards.
- Provide input to congress priorities and planning; continuously monitor healthcare environment and emerging trends.
Additional Responsibilities (as applicable)
- Support US new-hire scientific foundational onboarding; verbalization processes.
- Support Investigator Studies Program (ISP) for assigned TA.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD/PhD/PharmD) in TA area; recognized TA expertise.
- 5+ years medical affairs (or equivalent clinical/research).
- 3+ years in TA (clinical/research/pharma) with demonstrated scientific acumen.
