Transplant Key Account Manager (TKAM)

Role Responsibilities / How you will contribute
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and Management by Objective (MBO) goals.
- Develop strategic account planning: uncover needs, stakeholder/influence mapping, prioritize business goals, develop and deliver value propositions in collaboration with marketing and managed market teams, and create tactical plans.
- Develop comprehensive, territory-specific business plans aligned with corporate goals.
- Gain access for specialty products (protocol access and formulary access, if applicable).
- Conduct account management across all transplant centers in the assigned territory; foster confidence in Takedaโ€™s holistic engagement approach and provide ongoing support.
- Build relationships with Executive, Operations, Financial, and Pharmacy personnel at transplant centers; position products to ensure supply and support the product portfolio.
- Develop relationships with Thought Leaders and leverage clinical experts to educate/inform therapeutic processes and protocols at the institution level.
- Identify key stakeholders at each transplant center, understand needs/priorities, and build relationships throughout the organization.
- Develop cross-functional business plans and launch business development strategies for large/high-volume transplant centers.
- Deliver business objectives, prescriber growth, and other key metrics; implement franchise and brand strategy within the customer segment.
- Develop and evaluate account business plans aligned to strategic goals and evolving trends in key accounts/segments.
- Assess infusion economics, inventory management, reimbursement, procurement, and deployment strategies; stay current on local/regional/national access and reimbursement issues and trends.
- Monitor and communicate industry/managed care trends to impacted stakeholders (e.g., Sales Forces, Leadership, SFE Lead, Marketing, Market Access).
- Provide updates/status reports using established protocols to support field sales opportunities.
- Deliver approved clinical, financial, outcomes, and operational messages; manage assigned accounts, budget, and allocated resources.
- Educate home office personnel on therapeutic account information and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues on account issues/trends.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree (BA/BS) or advanced business/scientific degree (MBA, MS, PharmD, etc.).
- 5 years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, specialty, or healthcare industry, including:
- Developing/executing business plans aligned with corporate goals.
- Launching business development programs and execution strategy.
- Advanced skills in negotiation, strategy, presentation, analytics, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Experience within transplant or rare disease (preferred/plus).
- Account-based sales experience (hospitals, health systems, infusion centers, large group practice) OR rare disease centers of excellence / comprehensive care team experience (preferred/plus).
- Buy & bill selling/account management and understanding payer access/reimbursement at regional/state/local levels (preferred/plus).
- Pharmaceutical product launch and calling on transplant specialists (preferred/plus).
- Reside within assigned geography.
