Thought Leader Liaison – Rocky Mountains
What You Will Do
Customer-facing role executing the Neuroimmunology Business Unit’s peer-to-peer strategies and building relationships with speakers, thought leaders, and key influencers from key accounts in the assigned geography. Compliantly liaise with Sales, Site of Care, and Medical Affairs to address customer needs, initiate projects of mutual interest, anticipate market trends, and uncover competitive intelligence to meet Business Unit objectives; coordinate thought leader interactions for a cohesive customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with existing and new thought leaders for current/future commercial activities
- Create local peer-to-peer strategies with national/regional marketing and sales plans
- Ensure thought leader concerns/needs are addressed timely with sales and marketing
- Collaborate with advocacy team to develop relationships with physician and patient organizations
- Create and execute short- and long-term KOL engagement plans
- Capture/synthesize/share thought leader insights to shape brand strategy and support life cycle/competitive planning
- Identify evidence gaps via thought leader discussions and podium observations
- Disseminate insights to marketing, sales, and market access to inform strategy and planning
- Coordinate leadership interactions at assigned conferences
- Pursue opportunities to involve Amgen in meaningful programs with thought leaders
- Assist with speaker events (speaker selection, training, speaker program review for messaging/compliance)
- Collaborate on peer-to-peer programs and refine U.S. speaker bureau
- Contribute to content development with customer insight
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate + 2 years marketing/sales experience OR Master’s + 4 years OR Bachelor’s + 6 years OR Associate’s + 10 years OR High school/GED + 12 years
Preferred Qualifications:
- Customer-facing pharmaceutical/biotech experience (field sales, product marketing, medical/clinical) required
- Experience in neurology, rheumatology, and/or gastroenterology (required)
- Exposure to multiple sclerosis and key MS centers (strongly preferred)
- Clinical experience in rare diseases or specialty biologics (strongly preferred)
- Thought leader/KOL leadership (plus)
- Track record in cross-functional matrix teams; strategic agility; strong collaboration/presentation; strong organizational/analytic/time management; exceptional clinical/business acumen
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 80% travel; reside within territory boundaries
