Position Summary:
Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) is a field-based role responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with national and regional US key opinion leaders (KOLs) in rare nephrology to support FILSPARI (sparsentan) for IgAN and FSGS. Works cross-functionally with Marketing, Insights/Analytics, Sales, Patient Advocacy, Compliance, Sales Training, Market Access, and Medical Affairs.

Responsibilities:
- Implement regional cross-functional account strategy and KOL engagement plan.
- Partner with marketing to identify KOL opportunities and support KOL recruitment.
- Collect/analyze/synthesize KOL sentiments, competitor activities, and market trends; provide regular strategic updates.
- Ensure compliant, fair-balanced, effective message delivery across promotional educational channels.
- Enlist and manage KOLs and promotional speakers to support commercial activities.
- Assist with identifying/vetting promotional speakers; support contracting, training, and ongoing education.

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Life Sciences (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of marketing experience in specialty or rare disease marketing.

Required/Preferred Skills:
- Strong scientific acumen and understanding of specialty clinical medicine.
- Proven leadership/high performance; ability to build/sustain internal business relationships.
- Demonstrated KOL relationship-building and execution of engagement plans.
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry (preferably small molecule).
- Excellent collaboration, attention to detail, interpersonal/organizational, and verbal/written communication.
- Track record managing complex project plans, timelines, budgets.
- Flexibility with changing strategies.
- Field-based; must live in region. Travel 50–60% domestically; at least 3 days/week in field; some weekend work. Not 100% remote; requires face-to-face/on-site presence (San Diego).
