Thought Leader Liaison, Rare Disease - South Central / Midwest

Responsibilities
- KOL Engagement: Build strong KOL relationships and trust; develop regional KOL strategies by identifying/profiling/engaging established and rising thought leaders in rare sleep; lead regional/national congress execution (executive leadership engagement, resource allocation, deliberate KOL/faculty engagement).
- Insights Gathering: Bring insights from thought leaders and sales teams to inform strategy, resource utilization, messaging, and tactical execution; identify marketplace trends/barriers to guide brand strategy and opportunities; help implement advisory boards (planning, participant identification, moderation); collect KOL beliefs, develop HCP profiles, and gain competitive insights at congresses.
- Speaker Bureau Leadership: Identify, recruit, and manage speakers for the LUMRYZ speaker’s bureau; guide speakers for accurate/effective and compliant product/disease-state presentations; coach speakers via observation and feedback.
- Product Brand Champion: Lead cross-functional collaboration to drive brand and ensure strategic alignment/execution; engage with territory business managers to align strategy and gather field insights (conference calls, sales meetings, occasional field rides).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years of professional pharma/medical device experience.
- Driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to demonstrate or secure appropriate healthcare provider credentialing for facility access.
Preferred Skills/Knowledge
- 10+ years pharma experience including rare disease; 3+ years product marketing and/or sales management.
- Analyze data sets and think strategically to develop regional plans.
- Strong interpersonal/EQ skills; peer leadership; ability to lead without authority across functions.
- Strong oral/written communication.
- Deep knowledge of legal/regulatory environment for pharma promotion and experience partnering with compliance.
Travel/Other Requirements
- Field-based; 60%–70% travel (nights/weekends as needed).
- Reside within territory geography.
Compensation/Benefits
- Annual base salary: $200k–$220k; eligible for annual performance pay bonus; competitive benefits package.
