Position Summary
- Field-based Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist (TA: Psychiatry) spending 100% of time in the field with external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote approved indications within a defined territory to meet/exceed compliant sales targets.
- Create demand by communicating balanced clinical/scientific rationale for appropriate patients.
- Maintain/grow deep scientific expertise in assigned products/therapeutic areas.
- Prepare and execute territory and account plans.
- Use tools such as CE^3 (when implemented) to generate insights and inform call plans; provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Deliver fair and balanced scientific dialogue using approved resources consistent with label.
- Conduct in-office presentations (e.g., lunch & learns); organize and support external speaker programs.
- Maintain expertise on emerging data; use Medical on Call for unsolicited questions and technical inquiries.
- Collaborate with other field teams; share insights internally.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech experience in healthcare sales/MSL/HCP/nurse.
- Ability to communicate scientific/clinical data accurately.
- Proven credibility with key customers and positive, differentiated Customer Experience mindset.
- Demonstrated account management, selling competence, and meeting/exceeding goals.
- Cross-functional teamwork mindset.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
- Neurology experience.
- Strong analytical and technological agility (including CE^3/CRM, digital channels, Medical on Call, online resources).
