Position Summary
The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) delivers strong, sustainable business performance and meaningful patient impact across an assigned territory. Builds deep clinical and account expertise in rare cholestatic liver diseases and executes customized account plans to advance disease awareness, patient identification, treatment consideration, initiation, and persistence.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned to national/zone/regional priorities; set objectives and measures of success.
- Use performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to identify opportunities and adjust strategy.
- Prioritize effectively, engage customers, steward resources, and be accountable for behaviors and results.
- Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, expense reporting, required documentation, and business updates.
- Identify and develop high-opportunity accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks across pediatric/adult hepatology and gastroenterology.
- Create and execute customized account plans based on local patient journeys, stakeholders, decision-making, referral patterns, access, customer needs, and competition.
- Build trusted relationships with healthcare providers and care teams; map influence and secure next steps.
- Coordinate compliant account actions; clarify ownership and maintain momentum.
- Maintain deep disease/product knowledge; communicate complex scientific/clinical information credibly and clearly.
- Engage healthcare professionals as a clinically credible peer; ask questions, listen, uncover unmet needs, and connect evidence/resources.
- Execute approved promotional programs and engagements in full adherence to policies/regulatory requirements.
- Influence stakeholders without authority; navigate resistance with judgment and empathy.
- Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to support care teams; identify and escalate access/patient-support barriers.
- Partner cross-functionally and share actionable field insights; contribute to reviews, training, meetings, and initiatives.
- Demonstrate ownership, resilience, continuous learning, and ethical/compliant conduct.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years progressive pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience.
- Track record delivering results in complex specialty/rare disease/orphan drug/high-science markets.
- Rare disease experience highly preferred; hepatology/gastroenterology/pediatric specialty experience highly desirable.
- Strong clinical aptitude; ability to learn/retain/communicate complex disease and product information.
- Account-based selling experience across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, referral networks, and influential HCPs.
- Insight-led/challenger-style selling ability.
- Knowledge of access/reimbursement, patient support pathways, and patient services in rare disease.
- Business acumen to interpret data and execute territory/account strategy.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; strong communication/presentation and trust-building.
- Self-motivated, resilient, organized; able to work independently in fast-changing environments.
- Proven cross-functional partnership experience (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Training & Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics).
- Commitment to ethical conduct, compliance, and approved promotional practices.
- Valid driverโ€™s license; travel up to 70% (frequent overnight; occasional weekend commitments).
