Position Summary
The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) delivers strong, sustainable business performance and meaningful patient impact across an assigned territory by developing rare cholestatic liver disease and Liver portfolio expertise, prioritizing high-opportunity customers/accounts/referral networks, and executing customized account plans to advance disease awareness, patient identification, treatment consideration/initiations, and persistence in line with approved indications and promotional practices.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a focused territory business plan; use performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to adjust strategy; deliver objectives via disciplined prioritization and effective customer engagement; maintain accurate records, forecasts, expense reporting, and required administrative documentation.
- Identify/prioritize/develop high-opportunity accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks across pediatric/adult hepatology and gastroenterology; create and execute customized account plans aligned to the local patient journey and stakeholders; build trusted relationships with care-team members; map influence/decision-making and secure next steps; coordinate compliant actions across field partners.
- Maintain deep clinical/product knowledge; communicate complex clinical/scientific information credibly; engage HCPs as a clinically credible peer; execute approved promotional programs in adherence to policies/regulations.
- Keep patients/caregivers central; support customer experiences grounded in trust/empathy/responsiveness; collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services; identify/escalate access/patient-support barriers and partner to improve execution.
- Partner with cross-functional teams; capture actionable field insights; contribute to business reviews, training, team meetings, and initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years progressive pharma/biotech sales; track record in complex specialty/rare disease/orphan drug/high-science markets.
- Rare disease experience strongly preferred; hepatology/gastroenterology/pediatric specialty desirable.
- Strong clinical aptitude; experience with account-based selling across health systems/COEs/multidisciplinary teams/referrals.
- Insight-led/challenger-style selling; knowledge of access/reimbursement and patient support pathways.
- Strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and communication/presentation/judgment.
- Demonstrated cross-functional partnering; ethical/compliance commitment; valid driverโ€™s license; travel up to 70% (frequent overnight; occasional weekends).
