Position Summary
- Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) delivering strong, sustainable territory business performance and meaningful patient impact across an assigned territory.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a focused territory business plan aligned with national/zone/regional priorities.
- Use performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to adjust territory strategy.
- Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, expense reporting, administrative documentation, and business updates.
- Identify, prioritize, and develop high-opportunity accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks (pediatric and adult hepatology/gastroenterology).
- Create and execute customized account plans reflecting the local patient journey, stakeholders, referral patterns, access considerations, and competitive realities.
- Build trusted relationships with physicians and care-team members; map influence/decision-making and secure appropriate next steps.
- Engage healthcare professionals as a clinically credible peer; ask questions, uncover unmet needs, and connect evidence/resources.
- Maintain deep knowledge of rare cholestatic liver disease and Mirum’s Liver portfolio (diagnostics, MOA, clinical data, approved uses, safety, patient support, access/reimbursement).
- Execute approved promotional programs and customer engagements in adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Influence stakeholders without authority; navigate resistance with judgment, empathy, and respect for boundaries.
- Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to support patient journey and address access/patient-support barriers.

Qualifications (Required/Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years progressive pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience.
- Track record delivering results in rare disease/orphan/high-science or complex specialties.
- Rare disease experience highly preferred; hepatology/gastroenterology/pediatric specialty experience highly desirable.
- Strong clinical aptitude; ability to communicate complex disease/product information.
- Account-based selling experience across health systems/COEs/multidisciplinary teams/referral networks.
- Insight-led/challenger-style selling capability.
- Working knowledge of access & reimbursement and patient support pathways.
- Valid driver’s license; travel up to 70% (frequent overnight; occasional weekends).
