Position Summary
- Deliver strong, sustainable business performance and meaningful patient impact across an assigned territory by developing deep clinical/account expertise in rare cholestatic liver diseases and executing customized account plans.

Responsibilities
Territory Strategy & Performance
- Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned to priorities; define objectives, customer priorities, resource allocation, and success measures.
- Use performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to identify opportunities and adjust strategy.
- Maintain disciplined prioritization, high-quality customer engagement, accurate records/forecasts/expense reporting, and required administrative documentation.

Strategic Account Management & Network Development
- Identify, prioritize, and develop high-opportunity accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks (pediatric/adult hepatology & gastroenterology).
- Create and execute customized account plans reflecting local patient journey, stakeholders, referral patterns, access considerations, and competitive realities.
- Build trusted relationships across the care team; map influence in complex accounts and secure appropriate next steps; coordinate compliant actions across field partners.

Clinical Aptitude & Engagement
- Maintain deep knowledge of disease, diagnostics, mechanisms, clinical data, approved uses, safety, patient support, and access/reimbursement.
- Communicate complex science credibly; engage as a clinically credible peer; execute approved promotional programs in compliance with policies/regulations.

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree required (advanced degree preferred).
- 5+ years progressive pharmaceutical/biotech sales; track record delivering results in rare/orphan/high-science markets.
- Highly preferred: rare disease experience; desirable: hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care.
- Strong clinical aptitude; account-based selling across complex care systems/referral networks.
- Working knowledge of access/reimbursement and patient support pathways.
- Strong business acumen, interpersonal skills/emotional intelligence, and ability to operate independently.
- Ability to travel up to 70% (frequent overnight, occasional weekends) and hold a valid driverโ€™s license.
