Position Summary
- The Therapeutic Account Manager (TAM) delivers strong business performance and patient impact across an assigned territory for rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum’s Liver portfolio.
- Provides clinically credible, insight-led partnership to engage healthcare professionals, advance disease awareness, patient identification, treatment consideration/initiation/persistence, and influence change across complex accounts.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory business plans; use performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to adjust strategy.
- Meet objectives through disciplined prioritization, high-quality customer engagement, effective resource stewardship, and accountability.
- Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, expense reporting, and required administrative documentation.
- Identify and develop high-opportunity accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks (pediatric/adult hepatology and gastroenterology).
- Create customized account plans aligned to local patient journey, stakeholders, clinical decision-making, referrals, access, needs, and competition.
- Build trusted relationships across the care team; map influence, set engagement objectives, and secure next steps.
- Execute compliant promotional programs and coordinate compliant account actions.
- Maintain deep disease/product knowledge; communicate complex information clearly and credibly.
- Help address gaps in awareness, identification, referral, treatment consideration, and ongoing support; influence stakeholders without authority.
- Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services; identify and elevate recurring access/patient-support barriers.
- Partner cross-functionally (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Training, Operations, Analytics, Advocacy) and share actionable field insights.

Qualifications (Required/Preferred)
- Bachelor’s required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years progressive pharma/biotech sales.
- Track record delivering results in rare disease/specialty/orphan/high-science markets.
- Rare disease experience highly preferred; hepatology/gastroenterology/pediatric specialty desirable.
- Strong clinical aptitude; ability to communicate complex science.
- Experience with account-based selling and challenger/insight-led approaches.
- Knowledge of access/reimbursement and patient support pathways.
- Business acumen; exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license; travel up to 70%.
