Position Summary
- Deliver strong, sustainable business performance and meaningful patient impact across an assigned territory.
- Build deep clinical and account expertise in rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum’s Liver portfolio.
- Identify and prioritize high-opportunity customers, accounts, and referral networks; execute customized account plans to drive disease awareness and appropriate patient identification, treatment consideration/initiation, and persistence per approved indications and promotional practices.
- Partner clinically with healthcare professionals; ask insightful questions, challenge clinical inertia, and influence change across complex accounts.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a focused territory business plan aligned to national/zone/regional priorities; set objectives, customer priorities, resource allocation, and measures of success.
- Use performance data, customer insights, market intelligence, access dynamics, and competitive trends to identify opportunities and adjust execution.
- Maintain accurate customer records, forecasts, expense reporting, and required administrative documentation.
- Identify and develop high-opportunity accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks across pediatric/adult hepatology and gastroenterology.
- Create and execute customized account plans based on the local patient journey, stakeholders, decision-making, referrals, access considerations, customer needs, and competitive realities.
- Build trusted relationships across the care team; map influence and secure appropriate next steps.
- Develop and maintain deep knowledge of the disease state, diagnostics, mechanisms of action, clinical data, safety, patient support pathways, access/reimbursement, and competitive landscape.
- Communicate complex scientific/clinical information credibly and tailor discussions to each HCP/account.
- Execute approved promotional programs in adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Market Access and Patient Services to support navigation of barriers in the patient journey.
- Partner cross-functionally (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, training/effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, Advocacy) and share actionable field insights.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years progressive pharma/biotech sales experience; track record in complex specialty/rare disease/orphan/high-science markets.
- Rare disease experience highly preferred; hepatology, gastroenterology, pediatric specialty care, or other complex specialty highly desirable.
- Strong clinical aptitude for learning/communicating complex disease and product information.
- Account-based selling experience across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary teams, referral networks, and influential HCPs.
- Ability to use insight-led/challenger-style selling to influence behavior and advance decisions.
- Knowledge of access/reimbursement, patient support pathways, and patient services in rare disease.
- Strong business acumen; ability to interpret data and translate plans into execution.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; strong communication/presentation/judgment.
- Self-motivated, resilient, organized; able to work independently in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
- Cross-functional partnership experience (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, Training/Effectiveness, Operations, Analytics).
- Commitment to ethical conduct and approved promotional practices.
- Valid driver’s license; travel up to 70% (frequent overnight; occasional weekends).
