Position Summary
- Deliver strong, sustainable business performance and meaningful patient impact across an assigned territory by building deep clinical and account expertise in rare cholestatic liver diseases and Mirum’s Liver portfolio.
- Identify and prioritize high-opportunity customers/accounts/referral networks and execute customized account plans to drive disease awareness, appropriate patient identification, treatment consideration/initiation/persistence per approved indications and promotional practices.

Responsibilities
Territory Strategy & Business Performance
- Develop and execute a territory business plan aligned to national/zone/regional priorities.
- Use performance data, customer insights, access dynamics, and competitive trends to adjust strategy.
- Maintain accurate records, forecasts, expenses, and required administrative documentation.

Strategic Account Management & Network Development
- Identify and develop high-opportunity accounts, health systems, centers of excellence, and referral networks (pediatric and adult hepatology/gastroenterology).
- Create customized account plans aligned to local patient journeys, stakeholders, access needs, and competitive realities.
- Build trusted relationships across the care team; map influence and secure next steps.

Clinical Aptitude & Customer Engagement
- Maintain deep knowledge of rare cholestatic liver disease, diagnostic pathways, safety, access/reimbursement, and patient support.
- Communicate complex science/clinical information credibly and tailor discussions to HCP needs.
- Execute approved promotional programs in line with policies and regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Marketing, training/effectiveness, Operations, Analytics, and Advocacy; share field insights and best practices.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years progressive pharma/biotech sales experience.
- Track record delivering results in rare disease/specialty/orphan/high-science markets (rare disease preferred; hepatology/gastroenterology/pediatrics highly desirable).
- Strong clinical aptitude and ability to learn/communicate complex medical information.
- Experience with account-based selling across health systems, centers of excellence, multidisciplinary care teams, and referral networks.
- Insight-led/challenger selling skills; knowledge of access and reimbursement and patient support pathways.
- Strong business acumen; exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to 70% (frequent overnight; occasional weekends).
