Job Summary:
- Meet and exceed sales objectives in assigned geography in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
- Understand and identify customer needs; align appropriate resources and pull-through activities.
- Develop advanced product and disease-state knowledge to engage healthcare professionals.
- Report to the Regional Sales Manager and promote the company’s product by calling on Gastroenterologists, Advanced Practice Practitioners (APPs), and select Primary Care Physicians to achieve sales goals.
- Collaborate with peers, Regional Sales Managers, and commercial colleagues to achieve territory, region, and corporate goals.
- Cities include: Saratoga Springs; Utica; Rotterdam; Schenectady.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Drive sales performance to ensure sales goals are met or exceeded.
- Maintain advanced product and disease-state expertise; deliver clinically focused messages and overcome objections with Gastroenterologists, Primary Care Physicians, APPs, and office staff.
- Build understanding of territory market dynamics and market access opportunities to accelerate pull-through.
- Develop territory business plans with Regional Sales Manager and Strategic Account Specialists (SAS) to achieve sales goals.
- Support operational execution with peers, marketing, training, and sales operations; share best practices.
- Complete administrative responsibilities, including CRM usage and expense reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2)+ years successful medical sales experience (e.g., dental, medical device, laboratory, diagnostics) or one (1) year pharmaceutical sales experience; GI specialty experience preferred.
- Proven, consistent track record of sales performance.
- Experience launching new products.
- Demonstrated success leveraging resources (marketing, market access pull-through, technology solutions).
- Proven business acumen and analytical expertise.
- Ability to build professional relationships with office staff and the customer network.
- Demonstrated success in live and virtual interactions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong technical skills; proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and digital meeting platforms (e.g., Veeva Engage, Teams, Zoom).
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Some overnight travel may be required; travel to national/regional/corporate office may be required.
