Role Summary

Territory Leader for Santa Barbara & Ventura. Focused on eye care, responsible for territory disease state education, launch and ongoing growth of XDEMVY, and building relationships with key eye care customers. Drive sales, ensure compliance, and own activity and results within the territory. Requires strategic thinking, operational execution, and a drive for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management & Eye Care Experts: develop clinical knowledge of anatomy, disease states, products, XDEMVY, and office treatment patterns; build relationships with stakeholders; navigate managed care hurdles; understand ophthalmology/optometry practices and how roles affect prescribing and pull-through; maximize managed care opportunities; engage key opinion leaders; promote compliant, value-driven promotion.
  • Business Acumen & Sales Execution: exceed sales goals and productivity metrics; use analytics to prioritize engagements and increase product trial/utilization; monitor KPIs and adjust approach based on data; develop actionable business plans; share insights with leadership; uphold ethics and compliance.
  • Business Owners & Culture Champions: foster commitment, empowerment, accountability, and continuous improvement; collaborate with district leaders, marketing, market access, medical affairs, sales ops, inside sales, training, and others; provide frontline feedback; ensure PDMA and industry compliance; share best practices; maximize resources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or related field or commensurate experience
  • 2+ years pharmaceutical or relevant healthcare sales experience (required)
  • Proven track record of pharmaceutical launches (strongly preferred)
  • Eye Care experience (preferred)
  • Problem solving and collaboration skills; highly adaptable to change; strong communication and change management; ability to escalate issues and make tough decisions

Additional Requirements

  • Field-based position reporting to the District Sales Leader
  • Geography: must live in Ventura, Thousand Oaks, or Santa Barbara
  • Travel within selling geography and to meetings/conventions; possible travel to HQ in Irvine, CA
  • Travel expectation: approximately 40%–50% in larger geographies
