Role Summary

Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) in Richmond, KY responsible for exceeding goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the assigned territory. Reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
  • Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
  • Maintain current knowledge of product, disease, competitive landscape, and market reimbursement.
  • Determine, implement, and monitor resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the territory.
  • Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
  • Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
  • Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
  • Manage travel and promotional budget.
  • Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
  • Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Meet credentialing requirements of healthcare providers and facilities as a condition of employment.
  • Perform additional ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
  • Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred; associates considered if not meeting experience requirement.
  • Atypical antipsychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
  • Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management.
  • Reimbursement experience preferred.
  • Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers preferred.
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license with clean driving history.
  • Self-starter with goal- and results-driven mindset; proven track record of above-average results.
  • Hunter mentality with ability to compete and build strong territory knowledge.
  • Ability to travel (may include overnights) and occasional out-of-territory travel to HQs/training/sales meetings.
  • Flexible with work hours, including meetings outside normal hours.
  • Must reside within the territory geography.

  • Strong selling and presentation skills; highly clinical and patient-centric approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
  • Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in computer use and CRM/documentation systems.
  • Valid driverโ€šร„รดs license and ability to operate a motor vehicle for local/regional travel.

Education

  • BS or BA degree required; GPA > 3.0.
