Territory Business Manager Psychiatry β West Louisiana

Territory Business Manager (TBM) is responsible for selling Alkermes products in the West Louisiana territory and supporting promotional efforts. Ideal candidates should be proven sales achievers and live in the territory, using thorough product/disease state/market knowledge and sound selling skills.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Alkermes products, related disease states, and related marketplace products
- Demonstrate strong selling skills using approved sales aids, approved studies/reprints, and effective communication/listening with targeted healthcare providers; use the Alkermes selling model to gain agreement to increase product use with appropriate patients
- Manage the territory by identifying and calling on appropriate healthcare provider targets with required frequency; continually develop/review/update/maintain provider target lists using latest information/data
- Use available resources/programs (e.g., samples, Promotional Speaker Programs) to increase business; discuss territory business with District Business Leader (DBL)
- Develop business plans as required by DBL and complete administrative tasks timely, accurately, and truthfully
- Exercise fiscal control of operational expenses (car, gas, office supplies, telephone, postage, lodging, meals, entertainment)
- Work productively with related teams (other reps, DBL, RMDs, Marketing, Key Accounts, and HQ personnel)
- Abide by policies/regulations for promotional compliance and sample accountability
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required
- 2+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience required
- Must live within the geography of responsibility
- Driverβs license must be in good standing
- Must be able to demonstrate or secure appropriate credentialing for healthcare provider facility access
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience preferred
- Specialty sales experience preferred
- Demonstrated superior organizational and administrative skills
- Demonstrated past sales performance/success
- Strong analytical, strategic, and influencing skills
- Some overnight travel may be required
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Annual base salary: $125k to $155k
- Performance-based sales incentive bonus targeted at $45k annually; eligibility for long-term incentive program
