Territory Business Manager (TBM) responsibilities include selling Alkermes products in the South Florida territory and supporting promotional efforts. This is done through thorough product, disease state, and market knowledge, sound selling skills, use of available resources to educate healthcare providers, analytical target setting, and use of approved resources.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Alkermes products, related disease states, and related marketplace products
- Demonstrate strong selling skills using approved sales aids, approved studies/reprints, and superior communication/listening with targeted healthcare providers; gain agreement to increase product use with appropriate patients
- Manage territory by identifying and calling on appropriate numbers of healthcare provider targets with required frequency; continually develop, review, update, and maintain provider target lists using latest information/data
- Use resources/programs (e.g., samples, Promotional Speaker Programs) to increase business; discuss territory business with District Business Leader (DBL)
- Develop business plans as required by DBL; complete administrative tasks timely, accurately, and truthfully
- Exercise fiscal control of operational expenses (car, gas, office supplies, telephone, postage, lodging, meals, entertainment)
- Work productively with related personnel (other reps, DBL, RMDs, Marketing, Key Accounts, and HQ)
- Comply with promotional compliance and sample accountability policies/regulations
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required
- 2+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience required
- Must live within the geography of responsibility
- Driverβs license in good standing
- Ability to demonstrate or secure required healthcare provider credentialing for facility access
Preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience; specialty sales experience preferred
- Superior organizational/administrative skills; demonstrated past sales performance
- Strong analytical, strategic, and influencing skills
- Some overnight travel may be required
Compensation/benefits:
- Annual base salary: $125kβ$155k; performance-based sales incentive bonus targeted at $45k annually; eligibility for long-term incentive program; competitive benefits package
