Territory Business Manager (TBM) is responsible for selling Alkermes products in the South Dakota territory and supporting promotional efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Alkermes products, related disease states, and marketplace products.
- Use approved sales aids/studies/reprints and strong communication/listening skills to increase product use with targeted healthcare providers.
- Manage the territory by calling on appropriate healthcare provider targets with required frequency; develop, review, update, and maintain target lists.
- Use available resources/programs (e.g., samples, Promotional Speaker Programs) to increase business; discuss territory business with the District Business Leader (DBL).
- Develop business plans as required by DBL; complete administrative tasks accurately and timely.
- Exercise fiscal control of operational expenses (car, gas, supplies, telephone, postage, lodging, meals, entertainment).
- Work effectively with other representatives and internal partners (DBL, RMDs, Marketing, Key Accounts, HQ).
- Follow promotional compliance and sample accountability policies/regulations.
Qualifications (Minimum):
- BA/BS required.
- 2+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience.
- Must live within the territory geography.
- Driverβs license in good standing.
- Ability to demonstrate or secure required credentialing for facility access.
Preferred:
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales; specialty sales experience.
- Superior organizational/administrative skills; proven sales performance.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and influencing skills.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
Comp/Benefits (as stated): Base salary $125kβ$155k; performance-based sales incentive bonus targeted at $45k annually; eligibility for long-term incentive program; competitive benefits package.
