Territory Business Manager (TBM) is responsible for selling Alkermes products in the Fort Lauderdale territory and supporting promotional efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Alkermes products, related disease states, and marketplace products.
- Use approved sales aids, studies, and reprints; apply superior communication/listening skills with targeted healthcare providers to increase product use.
- Manage the territory by identifying and calling on appropriate healthcare provider targets with required frequency; develop, review, update, and maintain target lists using latest data.
- Use resources/programs (e.g., samples, Promotional Speaker Programs) to grow business; discuss territory business with District Business Leader (DBL).
- Develop business plans as required by DBL and complete administrative tasks accurately and timely.
- Exercise fiscal control over operational expenses (car, gas, office supplies, telephone, postage, lodging, meals, and entertainment).
- Work productively with related teams (other representatives, DBL, RMDs, Marketing, Key Accounts, and HQ personnel).
- Follow policies and regulations for promotional compliance and sample accountability.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS required.
- 2+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience required.
- Must live within the territory geography.
- Driver’s license must be in good standing.
- Must be able to demonstrate or secure required credentialing for facility access.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience.
- Specialty sales experience.
- Strong organizational/administrative skills; proven sales performance.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and influencing skills.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Annual base salary: $125k–$155k; performance-based sales incentive bonus (targeted $45k annually); eligibility for long-term incentive program; competitive benefits package.
