Territory Business Manager Psychiatry – East Missouri

Territory Business Manager (TBM) responsible for selling Alkermes products in the Eastern Missouri territory and supporting promotional efforts. Utilize product/disease state/market knowledge, approved resources, and analytical skills to educate healthcare providers and determine appropriate targets.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong understanding of Alkermes products, related disease states, and related marketplace products.
- Use approved sales aids, studies, reprints, and superior communication/listening to drive sales; use the Alkermes selling model to gain agreement for increased product use.
- Manage the territory by identifying and calling on appropriate healthcare provider targets with required frequency; develop, review, update, and maintain target lists using current data.
- Use available resources/programs (e.g., samples, Promotional Speaker Programs) to grow business; discuss territory business with the District Business Leader (DBL).
- Develop business plans as required by the DBL and complete administrative tasks accurately and timely.
- Exercise fiscal control of operational expenses (car, gas, office supplies, telephone, postage, lodging, meals, entertainment).
- Work productively with other roles (other reps, DBL, RMDs, Marketing, Key Accounts, and HQ personnel).
- Follow promotional compliance and sample accountability requirements.

Qualifications
- BA/BS required.
- 2+ years successful pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience.
- Must live within the geography of responsibility.
- Driver’s license in good standing.
- Ability to demonstrate/secure required healthcare provider credentialing for facility access.

Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience.
- Specialty sales experience.
- Superior organizational/administrative skills; proven sales performance.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and influencing skills.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
