Territory Business Manager (TBM) β maximize sales of VIVITROL in the Maryland North territory through product/disease state/market knowledge, education of healthcare providers, and analytical assessment of targets using approved resources.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of VIVITROL, alcohol and opioid dependence, and related marketplace products.
- Drive sales using approved aids, studies, and reprints; strong communication/listening; apply Alkermes selling model to gain agreement for increased product use.
- Manage territory by identifying/calling on appropriate healthcare provider targets with required frequency; develop and maintain target lists using latest data.
- Use available resources/programs (e.g., samples, Speaker Programs) to grow business; coordinate with District Business Leader (DBL).
- Create business plans as required; complete administrative tasks accurately and timely.
- Exercise fiscal control over operational expenses (car, gas, supplies, phone, postage, lodging, meals, entertainment).
- Work effectively with internal partners (other reps, DBL, Managed Markets, Marketing, Key Accounts, HQ).
- Follow promotional compliance and sample accountability policies.
Qualifications
- BA/BS.
- 1β2 years pharma/biotech/med device/B2B sales experience and/or extensive market experience.
- Must live within territory; driverβs license in good standing.
- Ability to demonstrate/secur e required credentialing for facility access.
Preferred
- 3+ years pharma/biotech addiction medicine/mental health sales; proven success.
- Strong organizational/admin; analytical, strategic, and influencing skills.
- Some overnight travel may be required.
Compensation/Benefits
- Base salary: $120kβ$155k; performance-based sales incentive (~$45k/yr) and eligibility for long-term incentive program; competitive benefits package.
